John Wolfe - retired Vascular surgeon - now sculptor, creates figures, animals and sculptures of the imagination in stone, plaster and bronze resin.

John was awarded the Van Leyden at the Medical Arts Society in 2010, 2012 and 2018, most recently with his sculpture of a cockerel. With studios both in London and Dorset, John Wolfe creates sculptures designed for both interior and garden settings that have been inspired by his Dorset studio's pond and garden.

Grandfather to ten, father to five, John now splits his time between being a sculptor and training surgeons on the Gaza Strip with the Red Cross. His family and his work as a surgeon have heavily influenced his sculptures. He has been tutored by Clare Trenchard  in Dorset and John Dean at  Heatherleys.
